Creation, Growth & Enterprise

Dundee Fashion Week is not all about fashion! The event uses design and fashion as a foundation for learning and enterprise, moreover as a tool for emerging design talent, small businesses, and amateur designers to take to the stage and promote what they have to offer.

We are a fashion and design community, by coming together we have a louder voice to showcase the exciting and vibrant designers and boutique owners in and around Dundee and Angus.

While the Finale Catwalk Show offers a more traditional fashion week event, Dundee Fashion Week caters for everyone.  We provide workshops, interactive exhibitions and even a documentary film premiere so that everyone can take part whatever their interest, age, or income.

Fashion means different things to different people, however everyone is influenced by it, whether it’s due to the era in which they were born, the uniform they have to wear, a statement they need to make, it touches us all and what better subject to use as a resource for learning the skills we need or want to develop to make our economy thrive and our cultural scene grow from strength to strength.

We have an amazing opportunity to create and grow this resource while providing real work experience opportunities to our young people and portfolio opportunities for our start-up designers and entrepreneurs.

Dundee Fashion Week is a Dundee and Angus College initiative supported by an external Advisory Board and partners. The aims of the event are to engage our learners, create a stronger network for their future, and generate pride and belief in their city and their creative voice.
